HILTON HEAD ISLAND— A South Carolina Highway Patrol spokesman confirmed that the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run here has been located.
Law enforcement has been searching for the vehicle that fled the scene after striking and killing 45-year-old Jason Flack, a Bluffton resident, sometime between 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 25 and 7 a.m. on Feb. 26.

Flack was crossing Gum Tree Road near Squire Pope Road when he was struck by a vehicle believed to have been traveling east, reported Trooper Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A Highway Patrol bulletin indicated that investigators were searching for a white 2018 to 2024 Toyota Camry with "front-end damage as a result of the collision" and "damage to it passenger side mirror."

Speaking to The Post and Courier, Pye confirmed that the vehicle involved in the collision had been located, but he could not confirm whether or not an arrest had been made yet.
